Save the frames that feel right for you. We use references to plan the shot, then adapt the direction to the people, venue, light, and movement at the event.
Let the hands rest naturally across the lap and look toward the design for a quiet bridal portrait that keeps the mehndi visible.
01
Mehndi photographs become more useful when the sequence includes both detail and emotion. Start with the hands, bangles, rings, flowers, and outfit texture, then move into a wider portrait that shows the bride or guest in the ceremony setting.
For reels, this detail-to-portrait movement gives the editor a natural visual transition. Keep hands relaxed and slightly separated so the design remains visible without making the pose feel forced.
02
Some of the strongest frames happen between planned portraits: a relative helping, someone making the bride laugh, a shared look, or a small ritual in progress. Tell the creator who is important so those relationships are not lost between décor and detail shots.
Keep a short portrait list, but allow candid coverage around it. The combination creates a fuller record of the function and gives a vertical reel more emotional variety.
03
Reserve one uncluttered area with enough light for portraits and make sure important décor is not blocked by bags, chairs, or waiting guests. Share the function order so detail shots can be captured before the room becomes busy.
ReelsXpress plans coverage around the confirmed package and event schedule. One or two reels may be delivered at the event when included in the package workflow, while the remaining deliverables follow the confirmed timing.
Clear answers
Relaxed seated portraits, hands placed gently across the lap, looking toward family, and small candid interactions usually feel more natural than holding both hands rigidly toward the camera.
Plan a close detail shot before moving into a wider portrait or family interaction. Slow hand movement and clean spacing around the fingers help the design remain readable in vertical footage.
Share a short priority list before coverage begins. The creator can then combine those planned groups with candid interactions that happen naturally during the ritual.
Raw footage is included with every package. The transfer method and timing are confirmed for the booking, while revisions and edited outputs follow the selected package.

Frame the bride from the waist up so the expression, jewellery, flowers, and detailed hands remain part of the same portrait.
Keep the camera ready between formal portraits; the family’s participation gives the final story context and natural expressions.
A conversation immediately after the ritual can become a warm candid frame without asking anyone to recreate the reaction.
